Catalog description:

The Community Practice Skills Experience is a three credit hour, year long, required experiential course in the second year of the professional pharmacy program. Students learn about community pharmacy operations, including dispensing, counseling, interviewing techniques, and the prevention of medication errors. Students begin working on 120 experience hours and assignments in the summer preceding the second professional year and complete all requirements in the following spring semester. Students are registered for the course and evaluated on completion of requirements in the spring semester.
